How Karunanidhi would have handled Fuel price reduction request better:
Hi Friends, this is a short video on how Stalin could have effectively handled Annamalai IPS' demands on fuel price reduction. Annamalai launched a procession from Egmore to the Secretariat in which a huge crowd had gathered to make it a grand success. Stalin avoided meeting Annamalai and instead chose to visit Mayiladuthurai, making Annamalai claim that Stalin was afraid of
meeting him and therefore went away. This accusation does hold water. We suspect that there could be some ego issue behind this is. If Dmk agrees to reduce, Annamalai wins and if they don't,
Annamalai will announce more agitations. In the same scenario, what Karunanidhi Would have done is something good to remember. What he would have done to prevent Annamalai from taking credit.
Today June 3rd is also Karunanidhi's birthday. As his wont, Karunanidhi would frequently say Annadurai came in his dream and told him something. In the same fashion, Stalin also can say
Karunanidhi came in his dream and asked him to reduce fuel prices and hence he reduced it. That seems to be the easy way out for Stalin as Annamalai is only demanding what was mentioned in the
DMK’s poll manifesto. That way Stalin can also appear that he has not acceded to Annamalai's request. Let’s see how this issue peters out.
