Why India cannot win Second test:

England hold the edge after three days of Play at Lords.

Looking back at the 3 days of play so far, we feel that England have managed to gain a slender lead, when a score over 450 was on the cards. Their Captain Root played really well for his century and was poised to score a double hundred. India only have themselves to blame for their Middle order collapse in the first innings as it is likely to repeat in the Second innings also. Kohli's plan to sideline Ashwin and at the same time stick to a four man pace attack is not working. He aimed to kill two birds with one stone and after conceding a 25 run lead to England, he must be wondering where he went wrong. We feel everything seems to have gone wrong right from the first test when Kohli chose to make Ashwin sit on the bench. Definitely Ashwin deserves a place in the team eleven. If a Captain, who himself is Anderson's Bunny, can decide so, God save the Indian Cricket team! England also seem to have followed in India's footsteps, with a late order collapse. The last five wickets adding only 100 odd runs. Of course, their batting is a bit weak, after the departure of Ben Stokes. However, India also has become equally bad, with the Middle order scoring a total of less than 50 runs in the first innings. Mohammad Siraj continues to impress and has a bright future. Let's see how the fourth day pans out.
