Gatsby Party:

Hi Friends, we recently attended a party for a family friend which was organized as Gatsby Party.

The term Gatsby is from the novel the great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald. It actually refers to the parties that were being hosted in the 1920s - the roaring 20s - where people partied all the time and a lot because they were happy that world war I was over. So the mindset of the decade was to live wildly, but it’s called the roaring 20s because it was really extravagant compared to the 1910s, the decade of the great war/ww1, and the 1930s, the decade of the great depression.
