Happy Tamil New year! How to make Ada Paal Payasam:

Hi friends, in this video we are going to make ada Milk payasam. Ada Pradhaman is a famous dish in kerala, but this is pal aka milk payasam and we are going to be using instant pot as we are showing in this video and the instant pot type is ultra six quartz. Prior to starting the cooking, let's have the ingredients ready. So this is the main piece rice Ada that's available in indian grocery stores and this is the measuring cups that we use so we have lined them up. What we mean by 1 cup is 200 ml. So, accordingly you can measure the ingredients. So, one fourth of a cup or one eighth of a cup you can have an idea.

we show you the ingredients we have. Cashew Nuts, Raisins  and cardamom powder along with the milk and  Condensed milk. So in this picture you can see the item marked one is cashew, Raisings and cardamom.  Item marked two is milk and marked  three is condensed milk that we use in this cooking and followed by we have a and milk mix sugar and rice adder. If you see in this picture, the number one item is water and milk mix,  the number two is sugar and three is rice Ada.

Next, we turn on the instant pot and start it in a saute mode and add ghee, cashews and raisins and start frying it as we show in this picture. Keep frying it and once it's fried,keep frying and next add this rice ada as we show in this video and mix it with the already fried cashew and raisins. Keep stirring it to ensure that they get mixed well and add the water and milk that we had shown you in the previous pictures. Add it and  mix them thoroughly as we show in this picture. Keep stirring them well as we  show in this video add some more milk as shown in this video and stir it well and get ready to cook this mixture. Close the vessel and cancel the saute mode and cook the instant pot for four minutes.

once it is cooked, wait for 12 minutes and then do a pressure release. Open it, next add the milk that we had gathered earlier into the instant pot and as we show in this video and once you add fully, start stirring it and commence boiling the mixture.

As the mixture boils, keep stirring it as we show in this picture and then add the condensed milk that we had gathered  earlier keep stirring. It should start boiling as shown in the video and keep on boiling it as we are showing this picture and continue to stir well. It is very much needed for this.

Keep on stirring it and then add cardamom powder, saffron that we had kept aside earlier and also sugar. Don't forget to add sugar and we have specified it earlier also and add all the remaining items and stir it, boil it and keep on stirring it.

Once you have added all the ingredients as we had discussed before and stirred thoroughly, ensure it's well boiled and the Payasam aka the pudding should be ready as we see in this video. Now we are finally adding the Cardamom and saffron. Keep stirring it so that you get a good mixture and nice aroma. Stir it well so that it gets mixed well and boil it well.  You should see the bubbles at the top that ensures it has boiled well and once it is fully boiled, you can turn off the instant pot. Now the Payasam aka pudding is ready to be served. Enjoy it with your Friends and family! We hope you will try it out at your home for this upcoming new year/Vishu. Once again happy new year!
